I am licensed to provide counseling services as an out of network provider in New York. Superbills are provided at clients’ requests to submit to insurance carriers for out of network reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider for the details of your coverage. When contacting your provider be sure to ask the following questions:
Do I have out-of-network coverage for mental health?
What is my out of pocket payment before my deductible is met?
What percentage of the fee for each visit will be covered?
How many visits are covered per calendar year?
A note about insurance coverage for mental health services:
Insurance companies often request clients’ clinical records and personal mental health information as part of their auditing processes and demand that a diagnosis be made for ever member in order for them to agree to cover mental health services. At times, they even deny coverage for mental health services that are vital to the clients’ well being.
At Daniel’s Place, we don’t believe in allowing bureaucrats from insurance companies to govern important clinical decisions for our clients. We believe that your psychotherapy treatment should only be determined by you and your psychotherapist, with no restrictions set by, or interference from, your insurance company. Without utilizing insurance benefits, your mental health care remains completely and truly confidential.
Donations
In order to further support emotional healing in those we may not have the opportunity to meet, Daniel's Place Center For Healing will donate five percent of its annual revenue to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, to promote suicide prevention, prevent incidents of suicide, and save lives.
